Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer to join Tulsa, OK. You will design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV, and lead work packages for complex projects in urban and rural settings.

The role requires a PE license and ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering degrees; a Masters will count toward experience. This permanent, remote-friendly position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited) will count towards years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit work packages.
• Design complex distribution projects in urban and rural environments in compliance with client specs; lead field and office testing planning.
• Coordinate small design teams to develop budgets, scoping documents, and project deliverables.
• Provide engineering assistance during construction and attend meetings and coordination efforts as needed.
• Review completed designs to ensure client quality and consistency.
• Lead, facilitate, and coordinate work activities to complete substations projects.
• Provide training and guidance to lower level employees.
• Identify and initiate corrective action when project objectives are not met.
• Interpret codes and regulations and develop standards for construction projects.
• Promote engineering professionalism and standards.
• Develop, recommend, and implement plans with scheduling, resources, and information for complex engineering.
