Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a senior electronics technician to prepare PCBAs and radio components between assembly stages and to rework at the component level.

The role includes troubleshooting and basic repair of MDS radio products, with an emphasis on reading BOMs and engineering drawings, and using SAP ERP and barcode systems for workflow. The candidate will set up workspaces, document faults, and coordinate with supervision and test engineering, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Four years related experience in electronics field and component level repair.
• Familiarity with common test equipment including signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, microscopes, etc.
• Advanced soldering skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up workspace with parts, tooling and materials for orders.
• Read BOM and engineering drawings; perform bar code scanning and use SAP ERP for transactions.
• Communicate status to supervision and test engineering; escalate quality or safety concerns.
• Rework PCBAs at component level and replace parts using hot air pencil, hot plate and X-ray.
• Document faults and provide direction for remediation of WIP units.
• Read electrical schematics and engineering drawings; support multiple engineering groups.
