Job summary

GE Vernova MDS, LLC is seeking an entry-level SMT technician to support the setup, preparation and operation of full SMT lines and PCBA assemblies in our Rochester, NY facility.

You will gather parts and tools, load feeders, changeover as needed, and perform inspections at multiple stations. Proficiency with SAP ERP and barcode scanning is required; a HS diploma is the minimum. Pay ranges $18–$23 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Develop skills for manual SMT placement as needed.
• Good communication via email/IM; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workspace with needed parts, materials, tools and test software ready for use.
• Assist startup/shutdown of full SMT lines and support feeder adjustments.
• Set up and operate devices across multiple SMT lines, load feeders, and perform changeovers efficiently.
• Train to perform visual inspections at screen printing, bump, and AOI stations.
• Review BOMs and engineering drawings for accuracy; maintain status updates with supervisors/engineers.
• Use SAP ERP for job-related transactions and barcode scanning tasks.
