Job summary

TekHawks is seeking an experienced PCBA design engineer in Berkeley, CA to lead the full lifecycle of high-power PCBAs—from requirements and component selection to release, verification, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate across System, Mechanical, Firmware, and Test teams to resolve electrical system issues and ensure safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in battery management or related high-power domains, expertise with Altium, and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in EE/CE or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in battery management or high-power systems.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of PCBA design from requirements to release and DFM.
• Ensure safety and compliance for high-power/hazardous systems.
• Create diagrams, simulations, schematics, and test plans.
• Collaborate with System, Mechanical, Firmware, and Test teams to define and test PCBAs.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of released designs.
• Document design concepts and root-cause investigations.
