Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to own the full lifecycle of PCBA design, from requirements to release, including DFMEA, bring-up, and verification. You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance for high-power and battery systems, working with hardware, firmware, MEch, and test teams.

The role requires a strong background in ECAD (Altium) and experience with PCBAs and Electrical Systems under UL/industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience
• Experience in battery or energy storage systems is a plus
• Proficiency in PCBA design with ECAD software (Altium or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of PCBA design—from requirements through vendor DFM, bring-up, verification, and release
• Ensure PCBA designs meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards for high-power systems
• Create requirements, DFMEA/CFMEA, electrical diagrams, simulations, layouts, test plans, and documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with System, Mechanical, Firmware, and Test teams to design and test PCBAs
