Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Newbury Park, CA, seeks a Staff ECAD Engineer to lead PCB design for RF and high-power product lines. You will set design rules, ensure IPC compliance, and mentor engineers while solving complex SI/PI challenges.

You will own end-to-end layout from concept to production, perform pre and post-layout analyses, and collaborate across HW, Mechanical, and Process Eng to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 15+ years in PCB/PWB design, CAD layout, or fabrication with IPC certification(s).
• Deep ECAD/mechanical CAD tool knowledge and IPC/DFA/DFX proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PCB design using Altium or Cadence from concept to production.
• Set standards, IPC compliance, and sign-off on complex high-speed designs.
• Mentor staff engineers and lead root-cause analysis for design issues.
• Provide DFM/stack-up guidance across hardware disciplines.
• Perform SI/PI/EM analyses and develop impedance models for DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, SerDes, USB, Ethernet.
• Collaborate with HW, Mechanical, Procurement, and Process Eng for manufacturability.
• Prepare complete design documentation and manage ECOs and QMS traceability.
