Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Newbury Park, CA seeks a Staff ECAD Engineer to lead PCB design across RF and power product lines, setting standards and guiding engineers.

You will sign off on complex PCB designs, mentor staff, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure manufacturability with DFx practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 15+ years of PCB/PWB design and CAD layout experience; IPC certification required.
• Proficiency with ECAD/mechanical CAD tools: Altium, Cadence Allegro, ADS, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAM350.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PCB design from concept to fabrication using Altium or Cadence.
• Set design rules and IPC compliance; sign-off on complex designs.
• Lead root cause investigations for IPC, SI, thermal issues.
• Provide DFM/stack-up guidance with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor Staff and Senior engineers; conduct design reviews.
• Perform pre/post layout SI/PI analyses using Cadence Sigrity.
• Develop transmission line models and PDN analysis for high-speed interfaces.
• Prepare complete design documentation and ECOs; ensure traceability.
