Job summary

North Atlantic Industries, Inc. is seeking a PCB Designer III to lead the layout and documentation of complex, high-density PCBs for rugged embedded products.

You will collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing and Test Engineering to ensure quality, manufacturability and schedule alignment. Ideal candidates have advanced Cadence Allegro PCB Designer and OrCAD Capture skills, strong IPC/DFM knowledge, and experience with high-speed, mixed-signal designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or 7+ years PCB layout in high-reliability manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer and OrCAD Capture for complex multilayer PCB design.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, fabrication/assembly processes, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience designing high-speed, mixed-signal, high-density layouts with signal integrity and controlled impedance.

Responsibilities

• Lead layout and documentation of complex, high-density PCBs.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering to resolve design challenges.
• Establish and maintain advanced PCB design libraries, footprints, symbols, and layout standards.
• Review layouts for technical accuracy and mentor junior designers.
• Support prototype builds and production issues by evaluating layout-related concerns.
