Job summary

IntePros is seeking a detail-oriented Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer to work onsite in Northridge, CA. The role focuses on schematic capture, high-density multilayer PCB layout, and collaboration with cross-functional teams for advanced electronics, including wearables and medical products.

The designer will create footprints, manage libraries, perform impedance control, and ensure manufacturability while coordinating with manufacturing partners and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Proficient with Altium 365 (A365) and OrCAD or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of IPC standards for PCB design.
• Experience in high-speed signal routing and impedance control.
• Familiarity with flex and rigid-flex assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design high-density multilayer, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs.
• Route RF/high-speed signals with impedance control and length matching.
• Create footprints and manage libraries.
• Place components and route signals using PCB tools.
• Determine optimal PCB layer stackups.
• Generate Gerber and ODB++ files.
• Perform 3D clearance checks against enclosures.
• Support DFM activities with manufacturing partners.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
• Create fabrication drawings and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, mechanical, and suppliers.

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer

Onsite | Northridge, CA

We’re seeking a detail-oriented PCB Designer with strong experience in schematic capture and high-density multilayer PCB layout. This role will support advanced electronics, including low-power wearable devices, high-speed electronics, multi-MCU systems, and Class III medical products.

Responsibilities

• Design high-density multilayer, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs
• Perform RF and high-speed signal routing, impedance control, length matching, and crosstalk mitigation
• Create component footprints and models and manage component libraries
• Place components and route signals using Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools
• Determine optimal PCB layer stackups
• Generate Gerber and ODB++ manufacturing files
• Perform 3D clearance checks using CAD models against mechanical enclosures
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) activities and resolve technical questions with PCB manufacturing partners
• Optimize PCB designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings and maintain design documentation
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, mechanical, and external supplier teams

• In-depth experience with Altium Designer, including schematic capture and PCB layout

• Strong understanding of IPC standards for PCB design
