Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Hardware Board Design Engineer to design schematics and PCBs for digital, analog, wireless and power hardware used in consumer and collaboration products. You will collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

You will lead board bring-up, debugging, and validation, and perform SI/PI, EMC/EMI analyses while driving manufacturability and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of PCB design, hardware board development, and embedded hardware engineering.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Altium 365, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or similar.
• Experience with digital, analog, wireless, power electronics, and embedded systems design.
• Experience debugging, validation, and root-cause analysis; EMC/EMI knowledge; DFM/DFT and manufacturability best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop schematics and PCBs for digital, analog, wireless, and power systems.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure hardware integration.
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and validation against design requirements.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI, and reliability analyses.
• Support prototypes, validation, design reviews, and manufacturing ramp-up; drive DFM/DFT and cost optimization.
• Select, evaluate, and integrate components including processors, sensors, memory, connectivity, and power management.
