Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Senior PCB Designer to lead bring-up and validation of high-density boards in Mountain View, CA. The role requires hands-on debugging from power-on through root cause analysis and rapid iteration for next-gen hardware.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout, power integrity, and high-speed interfaces, with a track record across the full hardware lifecycle from design to manufacturing support.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in board-level hardware design.
  • Experience with dense multilayer PCBs.
  • Strong power delivery and sequencing understanding.
  • Hands-on lab bring-up, debugging, validation.
  • Proficient with high-speed test equipment.
  • Experience with JESD204, PCIe, 25G+ Ethernet, DDR.
  • Full hardware lifecycle experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead bring-up of newly fabricated boards, including power-on and first-time hardware debug.
  • Plan and execute design verification and validation campaigns.
  • Partner with hardware design engineers to drive corrective actions into revisions.
  • Contribute to schematic capture and PCB layout for next-generation hardware.
  • Support RF and antenna teams with validated hardware and measurements.
  • Troubleshoot board-level hardware issues using laboratory instrumentation.
  • Support the full hardware development lifecycle from design to manufacturing.
