Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. (North America) is looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer to oversee the design and development of new or modified products. Located in San Diego, CA, you will support PCB layout and substrate/package design for advanced electronic products, ensuring signal integrity and manufacturability.

Ideal candidates should possess a BS in Electrical Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in PCB CAD tools are essential. The role includes responsibilities in coordination and evaluation of design processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of PCB or substructure/layout experience.
• Proficiency in one or more PCB CAD tools.
• Experience with signal and power integrity fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Align with other engineers to ensure process development and qualification.
• Coordinate projects between lab, customer input, purchasing, and production.
• Evaluate and provide recommendations based on design costs and performance.

Skills

PCB CAD tools proficiency (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Siemens Xpedition, or KiCad)

Signal and power integrity fundamentals

High-speed routing and controlled impedance design
