Kyocera International, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior RFIC Design Engineer to develop high-performance RF/analog ICs for advanced wireless products.

You will work from architecture through silicon verification, collaborating with RF Systems, Layout, Test, Firmware, and Product Engineering to translate requirements into production-ready silicon. The role requires strong transistor-level design skills, circuit tradeoff analysis, and hands-on characterization.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with 3+ years of RF/analog/MW IC experience.
• Strong foundation in RF/analog circuit design and device physics.
• Experience with transistor-level design and silicon characterization.
• Knowledge of CMOS/SOI technologies and RF passives.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify RF, analog, and mixed-signal blocks from spec through layout and signoff.
• Analyze performance, power, area, noise, and stability tradeoffs.
• Develop RFIC building blocks: amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, converters, filters, and bias circuits.
• Collaborate with system and layout teams to meet block-level specs.
• Plan and execute schematic, post-layout, Monte Carlo, and reliability simulations.
