Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Design and Development Electrical Engineer to support circuit design, assembly and testing of modules and boards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will contribute to new product development and production electrical testing, collaborating with layout, RF, and process engineers; the role requires 4+ years' experience and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 4+ years in electronic design, manufacturing or testing.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, power systems.
• Familiar with standard lab equipment and test instruments.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, Matlab, and PSpice.
• Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Excel skills and familiarity with simulation software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design new PCB layouts from schematics and prepare data files.
• Review circuit designs for manufacturability and reliability.
• Support testing and troubleshoot prototype circuits.
• Utilize Altium as the primary design tool and present designs for review.
• Train technicians on electrical testing.
