Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, amendments, and Pay & File. The role emphasizes independence, accuracy, and mentoring colleagues while expanding technical depth.

You will handle high‑volume cases, research complex notices, and prepare amended returns, with collaboration across Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on payroll tax experience with focus on notice resolution, amended returns, and correction across multiple states.
• Reading and interpreting IRS/state notices to determine resolution paths.
• Experience preparing amended returns (e.g., Form 941‑X, W‑2c) and associated documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute full‑cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, including payroll runs, tax filings, and payments.
• Research and resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning cases from intake to closure.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation before deadlines and confirm receipt.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns independently on complex amendments.
• Support payroll correction workflows and document audit trails.
