Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll and payroll tax operations in a high-volume environment. You will supervise payroll staff, ensure timely processing, accuracy in tax filings, and continuous improvement of payroll systems as the company expands into new states.

The role requires strong knowledge of federal/state regulations, multi-state payroll, and a track record of developing teams and implementing payroll software

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll accounting experience in an aggregate filing environment across multi-state operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing payroll teams.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, IRS 3504 regulations, aggregate payroll tax filing requirements, and W-2 reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bi-weekly payrolls across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage payroll tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll tax filings (941, Schedules, 940, W-2, SUTA).
• Lead, train, and develop payroll staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Drive payroll system improvements and new software implementations.
• Maintain consolidated payroll data for quarterly/year-end reporting and analysis.
