Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor in San Antonio to drive end-to-end resolution of notices, corrections, and amendments. You will lead complex cases, file amended returns (941-X and state equivalents) across 10+ states, and mentor peers while ensuring accurate, timely tax resolutions.

The role requires deep federal/state tax knowledge (FICA, FUTA, FITW), strong problem solving, and exceptional written communication.

Qualifications

4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; ability to draft penalty abatements and agency responses.

Responsibilities

Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, ownership from intake to closure.
Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) across 10+ states.
Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods and jurisdictions; drive correction workflow.
Maintain high productivity in resolving Corrections, Amendments, and Notices with accuracy.
Monitor WIP, identify aging cases and blockers; drive root-cause analysis and resolutions.
Coach Senior Payroll Tax Processors and train junior staff; support knowledge sharing.
