Job summary

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an experienced Payroll Tax professional to manage multi-state payroll tax across FEINs and ensure accurate filings. The role emphasizes year-end processing, W-2/W-2c preparation, and ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.

You will collaborate with HRIS/Payroll teams, leverage ADP SmartCompliance and Oracle HCM, and apply advanced Excel and AI-assisted techniques to drive accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll tax experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience with year-end payroll tax processing, including W-2 and W-2c preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables; AI tools experience encouraged.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures is preferred.
• Canada payroll tax experience a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll tax compliance across multiple states, localities, and FEINs.
• Process amendments and agency notices; coordinate with ADP SmartCompliance as needed.
• Lead year-end payroll tax processing, including W-2 and W-2c preparation.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws; implement changes.
• Support audits and tax transitions during mergers or divestitures.
• Collaborate with HRIS/Payroll teams on Oracle HCM.
• Use Excel to analyze payroll tax data and resolve discrepancies.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline tax research and reporting.
