Job summary

MDVIP LLC is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to oversee multi-state payroll operations with strong compliance and process optimization. You will partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accuracy and strengthen internal controls in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate has deep payroll knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive scalable solutions for a superior employee experience.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive payroll experience across multi-state operations.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, local payroll tax regulations, wage-hour laws.
• Experience with reconciliations, audits, and complex payroll reporting.
• Proficient with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and timekeeping tools.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead semi-monthly payroll for a multi-state employee population, ensuring compliance.
• Perform advanced payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Analyze payroll data and provide actionable insights to HR and Finance.
• Serve as subject matter expert for complex payroll matters and tax issues.
• Manage payroll projects, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain payroll controls, policies, and documentation.
