Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support multi-state, multi-company payroll operations for 200,000+ associates. You will process pay, ensure accuracy, assist training, and develop payroll KPIs while delivering high-quality service by phone and email.

You will work with Team Leads to manage daily workflows, review time records in Kronos/Compass, and stay compliant with state and federal regulations, SOX controls, and internal policies.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years payroll experience with multi-state processing.
• Working knowledge of FLSA rules and overtime calculations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; MS Office proficient.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll entries for multiple entities and ensure timely accuracy.
• Edit Kronos/Compass time records and adjust discrepancies.
• Calculate and process retroactive pay and manual checks.
• Verify benefits accruals and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Load payments to pay cards and manage banking data.
• Provide training support and customer service via phone/email.
