Job summary

Dollar Tree Management LLC is seeking a Payroll Operations professional in Chesapeake, VA to support timely, accurate multi-state payroll processing for over 200,000 associates across US and Canada. You will assist in training junior staff, manage daily workflows with the team, and ensure SOX controls are followed.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential. Start rate ranges from $55,000 to $64,500 with a 5% bonus; health, dental, vision, FSA, life and disability insurance, 401(k),

Qualifications

• Multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Working knowledge of FLSA rules and overtime calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to handle high-stress periods.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for management companies, DCs and assist with store processing within required timeframes.
• Maintain payroll policies compliant with state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to SOX internal controls and assist with auditing as needed.
• Process bi-weekly Canadian and/or U.S. payroll and transmit files to ADP; validate via reports.
• Import timekeeping from Kronos and Compass systems; support training for junior staff.
• Provide customer service via phone and email; assist Payroll Manager and Director on special projects.
