Job summary

Dollar Tree in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Payroll Processing Manager to lead multi-state payroll for a large, multi‑company operation serving over 200,000 associates across stores, DCs and SSC.

You will ensure timely, accurate payroll, mentor junior staff, and partner with internal/external auditors. Daily tasks include Kronos/Compass imports, ADP transmissions, and maintaining compliant SOPs while delivering KPI insights.

Qualifications

• Multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of FLSA rules and overtime calculations.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a high-volume processing center.
• Maintain confidentiality and internal controls (SOX).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processes payroll for management companies, DCs and stores.
• Maintain payroll policies compliant with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Transmit Canadian and U.S. payroll data to ADP and banks.
• Import timekeeping from Kronos and Compass systems.
• Train junior payroll associates and provide guidance.
• Provide customer service via phone and email.
• Assist in reporting payroll KPIs and special projects.
• Lead in absence of Payroll Processing Manager.
