Job summary

Remote Co. is seeking a Payroll Specialist - Senior Payroll Associate (Mid-Level) in New York, NY. You will manage multi-state payrolls, ensure compliance, and support payroll projects for assigned clients.

The role requires 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, familiarity with ADP or similar systems, and strong English and Japanese communication skills. This hybrid, office-based position offers health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, multi-state payroll including for multiple clients.
• Solid understanding of U.S. payroll regulations, tax rules, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems (ADP or similar).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payrolls for multiple clients independently.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Support payroll projects including system implementations and conversions.
• Review and improve payroll procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Research regulatory updates and apply changes to payroll operations.
• Communicate professionally with clients to resolve inquiries.
• Collaborate with sales, project members, and IT to meet expectations.
• Maintain data confidentiality and high customer service standards.
• Participate in internal projects and process improvements.
