The role emphasizes compliance with tax laws, strong Excel skills, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize payroll processes in a fast-growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business management or equivalent payroll-related education/training.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Strong understanding of multijurisdictional payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll.
• Demonstrated ability to audit and reconcile payroll data for accuracy and compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively.
• Preferred: Experience with Workday Payroll.
• Desirable: FPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Process regular and off-cycle U.S. payroll, including inputs, calculations, and timely payments.
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with internal policies, federal and state regulations, and tax requirements.
• Serve as a backup to team members and support knowledge sharing.
• Maintain and enhance payroll process documentation; suggest improvements.
• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support payroll-related initiatives and reporting.
