Job summary

Dahl Consulting in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead multi-state payroll for ~120 employees across 21 states. This hybrid role combines payroll compliance, certified payroll reporting, and system administration within UKG Ready.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Compliance, and Operations to ensure accuracy and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of payroll experience, construction industry knowledge, and strong Excel skills to

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive payroll experience across multiple states.
• Construction industry payroll experience is required.
• Experience using UKG Ready or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform.
• Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting.
• Strong Excel skills for auditing and reporting payroll data.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, off-cycle, and adjustment payrolls for salaried and hourly staff.
• Oversee payroll activities across 21 states ensuring wage/hour compliance.
• Prepare and support certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance.
• Reconcile payroll data, deductions, and tax information.
• Partner with Finance on quarter-end and year-end payroll activities.
• Support payroll system testing, upgrades, and enhancements within UKG Ready.
• Serve as the primary payroll contact for inquiries and issue resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
