Job summary

Kodiak Building Partners, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead payroll activities across multiple entities from our Englewood, CO headquarters.

You will ensure accurate, on-time payroll, maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and apply standardized processes across OpCos. You will serve as a subject-matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, coordinate acquisitions payroll setups, and support tax cleanups and audits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years payroll experience, preferably in a multi-entity, multi-state environment.
• Well-versed in ADP Workforce Now for payroll, reporting, and compliance.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and comfortable working with datasets and reports.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills across HQ, Regional Leadership, and OpCo employees.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing & Oversight across all OpCos within the region.
• Administer full-cycle payroll for all OpCos; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review payroll submissions for hours, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Manage off-cycle payroll runs (bonuses, corrections, retroactive adjustments).
• Reconcile payroll registers to funding, taxes, and GL exports; handle reversals/retro corrections.
• Coordinate ADP file feeds/GL exports with Finance for correct labor distribution and cost center mapping.
• Acquisition setup & onboarding (Payroll) for new OpCos in ADP Workforce Now.
• Setup new/acquired OpCos in ADP Workforce Now; coordinate conversion data and testing.
