Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join its accounting and payroll team in Overland Park, KS. This role focuses on supporting weekly payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with reporting requirements for a high-volume workforce in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
• Experience processing payroll for a large employee population preferred.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly payroll.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll documentation.
• Support certified payroll reporting and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and reconcile union-related reports and filings.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Respond to payroll-related phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate with accounting, HR, and operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and payroll reconciliations.
• Provide support for additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.
• Follow established payroll procedures, internal controls, and company policies.
