Job summary

LHH is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations across multiple business units in a fully onsite role in Kansas City, MO. This position will process payroll for approximately 400 employees, including union payroll, and collaborate closely with payroll and accounting leadership.

The ideal candidate has construction payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Experience processing union payroll and construction payroll.
Full-cycle, in-house payroll processing experience.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for ~400 employees across multiple business units.
Manage union payroll and ensure compliance with labor agreements.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
Process deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
Partner with accounting and operations to verify payroll accuracy.
Assist with payroll reporting and audits as needed.
Support payroll for multiple entities.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
