Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience.
• Union payroll experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient with email, database, internet, spreadsheet and word processing (Microsoft Office).
• Willing to learn new software applications.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Creative, flexible, adaptable with good teamwork.
• Ability to work without direct supervision under pressure.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and working hours at the Lenexa location.
• Weekly Payroll Processing: Assist with processing weekly field payrolls.
• Documentation Maintenance: Maintain accurate payroll records.
• Certified Payroll Assistance: Support completion of certified payrolls.
• Union Reporting: Assist with monthly union reports and reconciliation.
• Communication Support: Handle payroll-related calls and emails.
• Liaison: Act as liaison between employees, manpower, unions and accounting.
• Inquiry Resolution: Research inquiries and communicate corrections.
• Manager Support: Assist Payroll Manager and Payroll Supervisor.
• Accounting Backup: Back up other accounting duties as needed.
