Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a payroll professional to join our payroll processing team in Chambersburg, PA. The role encompasses processing, production and auditing of payroll, maintaining timekeeping systems, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

You will work with timekeepers, managers and staff to resolve questions, prepare reports, and support automated payroll solutions. A 4-year payroll background and experience with Lawson and Kronos are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• 4 years payroll processing experience required.
• Experience working with Lawson and Kronos environments preferred.
• CPC designation through APA; upon Hire Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the accuracy of payroll checks, tax calculations, deductions, pay codes and general maintenance of payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Monitors legal issues and advises payroll leads on implementation.
• Educates supervisors and other timekeepers in timekeeping system use.
• Coordinates application of rules and regulations regarding pay; ensures compliance with federal, state and local tax rules.
• Collaborates with leave coordinator on staff leaves of absence and manages related records.
• Produces and reviews voluntary deduction reports and handles involuntary deductions such as garnishments and levies.
