Job summary

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own full-cycle payroll operations for approximately 240 staff, using ADP and QuickBooks. This senior individual-contributor role reports to the Director of Human Resources and works closely with the Business Office on budget, audits, and year-end close.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with MA retirement systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, including ownership of compliance and reconciliation.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• CPP or FPC certification a plus; advanced Excel skills recommended.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for ~240 staff via ADP with minimal supervision.
• Lead monthly MTRS reporting and reconciliation of remittances.
• Manage payroll-related general ledger reconciliations in QuickBooks and support month-end close.
