Job summary

Bridgewater Associates is seeking a high-agency payroll operations partner to join the Finance team in Westport, CT. You will run end-to-end bi-weekly payroll, lead cross-functional payroll initiatives, and help redesign the payroll operating model.

This role emphasizes service mindset, clear communication, and deep knowledge of multi-state withholding, with a focus on reducing key-person risk and building scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business, or a related field.
• Experience improving payroll processes and implementing controls.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to partner with Tax, Technology, HR, Treasury and Accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Run and review end-to-end bi-weekly payroll, including data validation and reconciliation.
• Analyze payroll reports to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and outsourced partners to resolve payroll issues.
• Support administration of complex compensation programs (deferred comp, bonuses, equity).
• Design and improve payroll processes and technology Roadmap with the Tech team.
