Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Manager, Payroll to lead payroll operations for hourly and salaried employees in a multi-state environment. You will drive accuracy, governance, and system enhancements across payroll processes in Charlotte, NC.

You will oversee tax configurations, SOX compliance, and reporting, partnering with finance and HR to ensure timely payments and data integrity. This role requires strong leadership and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing multi-state payroll.
• 3+ years management experience.
• Experience with payroll tax configurations and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and distribution of hourly and salaried payroll for multiple states.
• Manage payroll system setups and tax/deduction configurations.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and maintain payroll records.
• Coordinate with third-party tax preparers and respond to tax authorities.
• Ensure payroll data integrates with the accounting system and generate required reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve payroll issues and optimize processes.
