Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking a Manager, Payroll to lead payroll operations for hourly and salaried staff across multiple states. You will ensure accuracy, maintain records, and drive system enhancements within a SOX-compliant framework.

You will oversee payroll setups, tax configurations, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues, while coordinating with external tax partners and ensuring timely reporting to authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing multi-state payroll.
• 3+ years management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and distribution of hourly and salaried payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Manage payroll system setups, including pay rules and tax configurations.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act processes and maintain payroll records.
• Monitor tax withholdings for federal, state, and local requirements.
• Coordinate with third-party tax preparers for filings and inquiries.
• Integrate payroll data with the accounting system and perform payroll account analysis.
• Prepare and file reports to government agencies and employees; suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve payroll issues and manage vendor changes.
