Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll Operations to lead payroll delivery for a large, multi-state workforce. You will oversee end-to-end processing, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive system improvements and governance. A focus on people leadership and process optimization will be essential.

You will partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and Legal to support audits and reporting, while developing a high-performing payroll team and scalable processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience with multi-state responsibilities.
• 3+ years of people leadership managing payroll teams.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end payroll, including bonuses, commissions, and year-end activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a large multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Drive compliance, internal controls, and SOX-aligned governance across payroll operations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team, setting clear performance expectations and development plans.
• Own payroll systems initiatives, upgrades, integrations, testing, and optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Internal Audit to support audits and reporting.
