Jobot is seeking a Payroll Manager for our downtown Oakland office. You will lead the payroll function across wage, tax reporting, and HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role with oversight of audits and process improvements. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll management experience, a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting, CPP preferred, and proven ability to train and develop a team in a hybrid work setting

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years in payroll management, preferably in engineering/construction.
• Experience with timesheet management and payroll implementation.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to payroll and employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confidentiality and discretion in handling data.
• CPP certification preferred.
• Experience with payroll software, HRIS, and time and attendance systems.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee payroll function including wage and hour compliance and tax reporting.
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Improve payroll processes and HRIS integration.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams.
• Manage processing of timesheets with accuracy.
• Audit payroll records for compliance with regulations.
• Stay current with payroll technology trends.
• Train and support team members on payroll systems.
