Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience with supervisory experience.
• Significant union payroll experience required.
• Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing payroll staff.
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance.
• Experience with Sage 300 or CMiC preferred but not required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll for approximately 700 employees including a large union workforce.
• Manage a team of three payroll staff across payroll processing and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Administer union payroll requirements and related reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet strict payroll deadlines.
