Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience with supervisory experience.
• Significant union payroll experience required.
• Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing payroll staff.
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance.
• Experience with Sage 300 or CMiC preferred but not required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the company’s payroll operations for approximately 700 employees, including a large union workforce. This position will manage a team of three and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and proper administration of union payroll requirements.
