Selby Jennings is seeking a Payroll Manager to own payroll operations across a multi-entity environment in Tampa, FL. This hands-on role focuses on building processes, system improvements, and full end-to-end payroll ownership.

You will manage payroll across entities and states, ensure regulatory compliance, configure HRIS/HCM, reconcile data, and support growth through payroll integration initiatives. Strong Excel skills and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience managing payroll across multiple entities and/or states.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS/HCM payroll systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute payroll processing across multiple entities and states.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Own payroll-related configuration and administration within the HRIS/HCM platform.
• Reconcile payroll data, deductions, taxes, and employee records.
• Process garnishments, benefits deductions, and payroll tax requirements.
• Develop and improve payroll processes, controls, and documentation.
• Support payroll integration efforts related to business growth and acquisitions.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to resolve payroll-related matters.
