New Day Admin in Springfield, MO, is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead a five-person payroll team and oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a multi-entity, multi-state healthcare organization.

You will drive process improvements, ensure legal compliance, and partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to support patient care and business needs. This role demands strong leadership, analytical skills, and deep UKG system knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Healthcare payroll experience in multi-location settings is strongly preferred.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and high-volume environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and macros.
• Strong analytical, confidentiality, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop the payroll specialist team with high performance and accountability.
• Oversee accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll for hourly, salaried, and clinical staff.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improved workflows with HRIS/UKG integration.
• Ensure wage/hour compliance, tax filings, garnishments, and year-end reporting.
• Provide timely payroll reports to leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
