Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll and tax requirements.
• Proven experience with payroll reconciliations, general ledger entries, and audit support.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
• Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment for all employees across multiple pay groups and locations.
• Serve as the primary ADP system administrator and subject matter expert, maintaining system configuration, earning and deduction codes, and integrations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and tax requirements.
• Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
• Review and audit payroll data, timekeeping records, and employee changes to ensure accuracy prior to each payroll run.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and Accounting on new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefit deductions, and bonus payments.
• Prepare payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and reports to support month-end close, audits, and management reporting.
• Develop, document, and continuously improve payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Resolve complex payroll issues and employee inquiries promptly, accurately, and confidentially.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure payroll records are maintained in accordance with retention requirements.
• Lead, train, and mentor payroll team members as the function scales.
