Job summary

Ledgent is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee biweekly and monthly payroll, partner distributions, and final pay calculations across a multi-state footprint. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while serving as the subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now.

In this hybrid role, you will review reconciliations, tax withholdings, and deductions, collaborate with Accounting on GL reconciliations and month-end close, and mentor a Payroll Analyst to

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll management experience in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly and monthly payroll processing, partner distributions, bonus payrolls, off-cycle payments, and final pay calculations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in a multi-state environment.
• Review payroll reconciliations, journal entries, tax withholdings, deductions, and employee records.
• Partner with Accounting on general ledger reconciliations, payroll reporting, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Lead payroll process improvements, system enhancements, automation initiatives, and documentation efforts.
• Supervise and mentor a Payroll Analyst while ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and business continuity.
