Job summary

Quaise Energy is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll across multiple U.S. states and future international expansion.

You will own payroll processing, compliance, and HRIS/payroll system integration, driving accuracy, timeliness, and SOX-ready controls in a fast-growing energy company. The role partners with HR, Finance, and executives to optimize payroll operations, implement Paycom, and continuously improve processes, while ensuring wage and hour compliance and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience with end-to-end payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Paycom implementation and administration experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, FLSA, wage and hour laws, and employee classification.
• CPP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for exempt, non-exempt, salaried, hourly, across multiple U.S. states.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, on-schedule processing, including bonuses, equity events, relocation payments, per diem, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Maintain internal controls and audit documentation; reconcile payroll registers and tax withholdings.
• Lead payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process improvements; optimize Paycom configurations.
• Provide payroll guidance to employees and managers; support HR onboarding/offboarding and audits.
