Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience in a multi-state environment.
• CPP designation is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with Paycom or similar enterprise HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-state payroll operations for 1,000+ employees with accuracy and timeliness.
• Standardize payroll workflows across the enterprise, including post-M&A integration.
• Manage payroll tax compliance, filings, and reporting.
• Establish controls and audit-ready documentation for payroll processes.
• Resolve payroll inquiries with high-touch service to employees.
• Administer complex compensation plans, commissions, bonuses, and sign-on/referral payouts.
• Collaborate with HR partners to ensure data integrity across the employee lifecycle.
• Drive process improvements and provide strategic payroll metrics to executives.
