Job summary

Plastipak is hiring a Payroll Manager to lead a team delivering end-to-end payroll for 4,000+ employees across multiple sites in the United States. The role covers payroll processing, tax activities, GL reconciliation, internal controls and compliance, with ongoing process optimization and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in multi-state payroll, 5+ years in people leadership, and deep knowledge of employment taxes, garnishments, labor reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Six+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience for a mid-size or larger company.
• Five+ years managing a payroll team with a track record of effective leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage the Payroll team with coaching and development.
• Oversee payroll processes with policies, procedures and controls for timely, accurate payroll.
• Resolve discrepancies and escalated issues with expert problem solving.
