Job summary

APIC Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across multiple states and entities. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of weekly payroll while managing certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of payroll leadership experience, strong knowledge of payroll laws, and a proven track record of process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible payroll experience.
• Leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
• Certified payroll and prevailing wage payroll experience.
• Experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and final pay requirements.
• Experience with payroll controls, reconciliations, reporting, audits, and process improvement.
• Strong payroll systems knowledge and automated processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee payroll operations across multiple states and entities.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll.
• Manage certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance.
• Develop payroll controls and drive process improvements.
• Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to support objectives and employee service.
• Provide leadership to the payroll team and act as a key business partner.
