Job summary

FOX in New York seeks an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to lead the Corporate Payroll Shared Services, overseeing end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing, timekeeping, and equity compensation across multiple entities and states.

You will drive payroll accuracy, SOX compliance, and process improvements while partnering with HR, IT, and Legal to deliver best-in-class service for a large workforce. Occasional travel between New York and Los Angeles may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading payroll in a large, multi-state org.
• Strong leadership and talent development abilities.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous, changing priorities with tight deadlines.
• Deep knowledge of fringe benefit taxation and equity instruments (RSUs, stock options).
• Expert understanding of FLSA and state/local wage and hour regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Payroll Shared Services for bi-weekly payroll and equity transactions.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to internal policies and regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and customer service excellence.
• Coordinate payroll schedules with business partners to meet deadlines.
• Develop SOPs and flowcharts for payroll processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and talent development to the team.
• Occasionally travel between New York and Los Angeles head offices.
