Job summary

C.A.C. Industries, a leading heavy civil contractor in New York, seeks a Senior Payroll Manager to direct weekly payroll for 750+ employees on onsite projects.

You will ensure compliance with union agreements, prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll reporting, while aligning payroll with job costing and labor distribution. The ideal candidate possesses extensive construction payroll experience, CMiC know-how, and strong leadership to manage audits and a payroll team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive payroll leadership experience.
• Significant construction industry experience with union environments.
• Experience with CMiC and complex payroll reporting.
• CPP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for 750+ employees, including union and non-union.
• Ensure weekly payroll compliance with union agreements and regulations.
• Administer certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance.
• Coordinate labor cost reporting with Project Managers and Accounting.
• Lead payroll audits and mentor payroll staff.
