Responsibilities

• Maintain payroll for State employees including University, Hospital and Long Island State Veterans Home.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Interpret bargaining agreements and implement related payroll changes.
• Develop and document internal procedures for payroll processes.
• Train payroll team and lead staff to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing.
