Job summary

U.S. Engineering seeks a Senior Payroll Administrator to accurately and timely process payroll for office employees, with backup for union payroll. This role partners with Payroll, Finance and HR to drive compliance and process improvements.

The position requires a high school diploma (B.S. preferred in Accounting or Business Administration) and at least five years of payroll experience, including multi-state, non-union work; union payroll experience is a plus, and construction industry

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience administering payroll
  • Previous experience with union payroll is a plus
  • Construction industry experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of payroll concepts and federal/state/local employment laws.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly, multi-state, non-union payroll.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of payroll data.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Finance and HR teams to support process improvements.
  • Promptly addresses team member pay inquiries and resolve payroll issues.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual W2s.
